The TP-i Carbon square design technology works by moving the weight further back on the driver and more towards the heel and toe. The square head increases the club heads moment of inertia (MOI) which means reduced twisting during off center hits. With a high Moment of Inertia, it keeps the ball straight and long down the fairway giving you further drives off the tee.

PGR Raptor (Ping Rapture Clone) Utility Iron Heads

The PGR Raptor Utility Iron features places more weight in the sole than traditional hybrids.  The heavier soleplate and sloped crown design moves the center of gravity low and farther behind the face than other hybrid club heads.  This produces a head with a higher launch and lower spin than most hybrid clubs.  The 17-4Ph Stainless Steel body is constructed for maximum control and forgiveness. A great hybrid design that can be hit from the tee, the rough or the fairway.

UST Shafts are No. 1 Among Top Honda Players

Delivering consistency and distance in woods and long irons, high-performance graphite shafts designed by United Sports Technologies (UST®) dominated the top player preferences at the Honda Classic ... UST was the No. 1 graphite shaft brand for combined woods and utility irons among the Top Five players at this weekend’s Honda Classic, and UST graphite shafts captured four of the Top Five money positions.

Among the Top Five, new Proforce V2 graphite shafts earned three of Top Five money positions, while UST’s IROD® Hybrid shaft claimed another Top Five position.

“PGA Tour players rely on graphite shafts in their woods and utility irons to deliver distance and accuracy, and UST shafts were clearly the preferred choice in those categories for the top five finishers at the Honda Classic,” says Jim McIntosh, tour representative for UST. “The Proforce V2 and
IROD both excel in performance and consistency.”

One of main reasons for UST’s increased popularity on the pro tours has been the performance-enhancing, low-torque characteristics of the Proforce V2 which is engineered to optimize performance with today’s 400cc to 460cc driver heads, explains McIntosh. Larger driver and fairway wood heads have increased hit-ability for many golfers, but in most of these larger he ads, the head’s center of gravity (CG) has been moved further away from the center line of the shaft, a factor which places more stress and causes more twisting on the shaft. The V2’s low torque design provides the power and control needed for 400cc to 460cc heads, plus the V2 prevents clubheads from twisting open on impact, decreases the amount of back spin imparted onto the ball and enhances shot dispersion.

“Every year, UST surpasses other graphite shaft manufacturers in innovative shaft technology, and UST shafts continue to validate the trust placed in them by pros such as Jim Furyk, Davis Love III, Rod Pampling, Cristie Kerr and many others,” adds McIntosh.
